I was thinking they were for a quest also since they are so common. I was hoping a quest for Skyshrine faction but i cant find anything. (
if they are insanely common, they are usually trash, like rusty weapons.

This is NOT a very good weapon, but for 7pp i guess its not bad. Brand* newbies might want one but levle 30's as a ranger having one of these? UGH. Just got a Yak or that ykesha like piercing weapon that is ragner only. Bards these migth be good for, but rangers and warirors and pally's have WAY better weapons (Wurmslayer, GhoulBane, Dark Reaver, Jade Mace, Mace of the Shadowed Soul, Yak, and Ykesha weapon, Lammy, Sionachie's partisan for a bard, ect.) Point, much betetr weapons out there, but for 7pp and being a complete newbie wouldn't be bad, just wouldn't give this a whole bunch o praise

yo my 13 halfling warrior on drinal, Twidget, has one of these dual with newbie short sword roflmao but it's a good combo fast/strong =) I also use some piercer don't remember the name... oh well

Hehe, I am a halfling warrior too, these suck at delay, but the damage is alright, and the person above me, he said it shouldnt be praised-he is right, I am keeping mine in my second hand, never put a low dmg, low dly weapon in your off, Dont even care what the dly is, just count on the dmg.
If the weigted axe was 1hs, could be worn by halflings, and go in the second hand (why am I even thinking about this??), I would put it there, everyone probably has figured this out all ready, but I cant find many good dmg 1handers that can go in the second hand, so I acually use this for my second hand, unless I get a better dmg weapon, I am stickin with this in my off hand.
All you little people that first saw the wurmslayer, and said you wanted it sooooo bad, well, it aint that great, the dly sucks, you need good dmg AND dly for your first.
I would go with the lamentation in my first with some other weapon in my second. Look, sure wurmslayers are an awsome weapon, but to me, the dly matters in the first hand. If I am even thinking about getting a new weapon in my first hand, if it is over 35 dly, I probably wont get it, unless everything else is awsome, then I probably will. Many people exaturate the power of the wurmslayer, well, it does really good dmg, but it deals it slowly, it is hard to slash again right after your first. (I think of the wurmslayer as a bowling ball on a stick =), anyway, I have gotten way off the subject..)

My earlier character had one of these but I lost it due to an unfortunate incident. Okay okay. I accidently deleted him! ::kicks himself hard:: Anyways, I finally got myself a replacement last night and when I went to use it, the newer one seemed to be hitting for a tad less damage than my first one. My stats are the same as my first character maybe even a little bit stronger but it just seemed odd to me. Is it possible for two weapons of the exact same type to produce different results? Maybe skill level has something to do with it? Right now, my current character has only about half the skill level of my previous character. Any info would be appreciated. Oh. I also lost a Kylong War Helm from the accident. ::kicks himself again but this time even harder:: If anyone has one that they want to sell for cheap, let me know.

Picked up one of these for 25pp from a seller with a stack of them to sell. Guess I was lucky but they do rock, my lev 10 paladin is slaying wisps like mad in commonlands and now he can use a shield. If you see one for a good price get it.

I've been using one on my ranger since 8th (obtained in trade for tracking services) in conjunction with a Shiny Brass Shield and the combingation has never failed me in a pinch. If you need the extra protection a shield gives this is one of the best 1hs weapons you'll find before level 20. It may be slower than other weapons in its class but with it you can dish out as much damage as most warriors with a two-handed weapon and still have the extra protection of that shield. Plus its great for hunting those blasted wisps - you can actually see a yellow wisps bar drop with the 20+ point hits.
I'm not sure if this is a glitch, but I thought I'd pass it on to anyone interested in buying one of these cheap. The palladin that bought mine got it from a vendor in Friona Vie for 5 pp after a few charisma buffs.

I have been duel wielding this and my SSoM since Level 17 (yes someone gave it to me) and I have to say it has served me very well. It is only now that I have hit level 30 that I am looking for something with more punch. I would recommend this sword to anybody under Level 30 especially Rangers.

Man I use one of these on my Warrior with a Silver war axe on the offhand. I do less per hit than many 2hs but many more hits. Toss in slam and a taunt you see the mobs just a hugging all over my Barbarian ***. I have rarely had a caster complain about my damage since I started the 20's.

39 may be slow but who cares. i think these may be lore now but im not sure. just got one for my twink warrior along with the beserker's sword. this has to be the coolest twinking 1hs since the sharkjaw cutlass, and easier/more commen too.

This is actually a random drop on all Giants in Kael. It's stats are low, and it sells for very little to merchants, so I am hoping these are for a quest somewhere.

Its a common drop off giants, with a Damage of 11, on a 1 handed slash.. Add to that, it looks cool, see thru and all..
