I bought an Icetooth Claw quite a while ago and recently - on a whim - bought the Icepaw War Claw. The Icetooth cost me 500pp and the Icepaw War claw was sold to me for 200pp (I was told that he needed fast cash and that it normally sold for around 500pp). Now, the stats on the former are 9 11, as opposed to the stats on the former - however, I keep getting different opinions over which weapon is better. Please, anyone and everyone, give me your imput.
The answer is, it depends. The ratios are nearly identical. The Icetooth's ratio is minutely better (2.636) vs the icepaw's (2.666). The +3 agi on the icepaw will add a little AC, but not much. The big difference is the delay. For a warrior, or any melee who is tanking, and wants taunt, the Icepaw warclaw is better. For a class who wants to avoid taunt, like a rogue, the icetooth claws would be better. Damage output will be indistinguishable, but the more frequent hits with the icepaw claw will aggro the mob to you faster. The funny part is, this claw seems to sell for less, at least in my experience on rodcet nife. I have seen this claw for as little as 75pp, and the icetooth almost always gets 200+. The only reason I can figure is that people like to see the higher damage hits, even though they are slower.

Charnic, the whole deal on why everyone likes the Icepaw War Claw is mainly because it is the ONLY claw at the moment that can be equipped by a druid. The sad truth of the matter is, a druid may pay ALOT of money for the Icepaw, while another class would probably not pay NEARLY that amount. Keep in mind, it's hard for druids to look good now days ;-)

a high lvl warrior wanted to know if i or my partner where shamys he wanted a sow we both said no but i offered him my last charge of sow potion in return he gave me the claws.thx who ever you where i owe you .

On vazaelle the price of these is starting to settle somewhat. I now have two of these, and have previously bought and sold them due to cash shortages. First time i bought one for 600, and gave to my 25 druid.
After a while I thought It was a dumb purchase because i hardly melee, so I sold it for 600 in EC tunnel. The speed at which I sold it indicated to me that I was under pricing it, and that several people were looking.
Fast forward about 3 weeks and I decide I want the claw again. 450 is the asking price, and I pay it happily. another week passes and I give the claw to my warrior to use. I promptly go and buy another one at 500 in the tunnel because my druid has become terribly attached to it.
I love this weapon. It is an awesome 1hs, and the +3 agi doesnt hurt. When it is for sale these days, you can expect to pay about 500pp in vazaelle. any more than that and your paying because you dont want to wait. I saw three icepaws being sold on one day, and the lowest price asked was 425, the highest 600. If I had the plat I probably would have bought the one for 425 so that a friend of mine could have one too.

I have some on my 21 level ranger they were given to me by a friend along with a vellium battle hammer.. The claws are Primary weapon only...together the weight is under 2.0 nice for dual weild.. And your fatigue never gets damn low... nice weapon

My Warrior was wandering around E. Commons tonight and saw this auction.

I sent him a /tell to find out what he wanted for it, he replied with 300pp. I told him it was to rich for my current state of funds and he told me he would give it to me know charge, just meet him at the first torch. He'd rather someone use it than sell it to a vendor. So now I'm dual wielding this and a Velium Battle axe. Thanks so much Cuff, you're a great dwarf!

i did a pitiful /ooc for some in NFP, just to see if anybody had some. a level 60 druid said he was trying to get rid of some for 450pp. i only had 130 (i wasn't actually planning on buying, i just wanted to see if they even existed), and he gave them to me anyway. i think it was a pity sale, but now i look like wolverine, hah.

Last time we were camping the village in velks we got a couple of these, gave both to pet. Pet then proceded to out taunt me and eventually got itself killed. Lesson? Never give pet something it can out tuant you with. =p

i bought this for 1k... just because i wanted my druid to look spiffy.. while running round on my druid a 55th lv druid noticed me.. he asked if he could buy the claws from me and i asked how much.. he offered 6k.. HEHE naturally i said NO to up the price and he threw in this walkin stick thingy with eff tishan and 7k=) i accepted and am now the proud owner of a CSS on my warrior =D just shows what dem dum dr00ids will do for some claws (BTW DRUIDS.. IF YOU WANT SOME CLAWS GO KILL THAT DAMN BEAR IN KURNS HE DROPS SOME DRU'S CAN USE) see i told u they were dum.. hehe im out seeeee ya
