I got this hammer from a guildmate, have been hitting in the 50 -60 range with a 26 lvl Pally, procs 2-3 time depending on the length of the battle, would consider a trade for Pally only weapon if good enough

Well ya screwed him over, cause he didnt read the darn description. The symbol looks the same as the other junk they drop that is merchant food for 9 plats. The icegrinder tis a bit rare. Stupid wizzie, guess the, finger wigglers need little brain power.

This is a nice weapon. I have one. Yes, it procs at level one. However, it is resisted by young water mocs and lesser kobolds. Maybe it has already been nerfed. The proc is bout 50% effective for me.

Not nerfed, it's just either all or nothing. Had someone lend my cleric one, and she fell in love with it, well, when the proc wasnt resisted. 30 point ice DD at level 1? Nice PL tool (provided it's not resisted...)

I got one last night off a scout at the front entrance to the fort in GD. Big loot for such an easy mob. But seems to a pretty rare drop. I have hunted there for some time now and was very suprised to even find this "new to me" drop. I will be selling this on Seventh Hammer so send a tell if anybody is looking for one of these.

Does anyone know what creature drops this weapon and by chance what level the creature is?

I got one off a berzerker Ice Giant just outside the Dwarven city. There are plenty of wanderers, mostly scouts, so little fighting over the mob. When you leave Thermagin (spelling?) go out past the igloos and then take a left. you'll see a marker post of some type. You'll see spawns up the hills on the left and the right, mostly scouts, but you'll get an occasional berzerker just run up grab him and pull him back (as those wolves running around will gladly join in, even if green).

I got this awesome weapon New Years day( what a great start) gave it to my 12 warrior and just destroyed crocs in Oasis. This weapon is just to awesome for the good ole boys in VI not to nerf. remeber, you heard it here first

partnered with a druid and mage at 33 just won the roll off a frost giant beserker very refreshing for a cleric to hit in the 40's and with proc 70's nice to finally have some bite to my bark

Every weapon procs the same amount, it just depends on how low the delay is. So don't say that this weapon has a high proc rate

The icegrinder, the 45 sp 27 dam hammer, procs for 30 damage on my level 15 (now 16) troll sk. However in the icereaver thread, someone says that the sword does not on a level 24.
Regular velium weapons with that 12 damage proc won't for her yet either. Makes me wonder if this hammer is somehow messed up in our favor ; )

Got one of these...lent it to a level 16 ranger twink of my friend...it procs for him often doing 30 pts of damage each time.
I agree about adding a proc level line to the descriptions because I also handed over a velium spear which refuses to proc at level 16 so I'm wondering what the lower limit on velium weapons is for the procs

I had a lvl 56 monk friend try this out for me.
He was hitting in the 140+ range and the proc was 30. Not very good for monks because of the weight, but real nice for a soloing cleric or shaman :)

I had only got the other non remarkable kinds of 2 hand hammer from the giants, the 50 spd 22 dam ones, then I saw this on a dwarf vendor at the bank. Was 600 plat or so with 113 charisma.
Pretty nice weapon when you consider the warrior only mithril staff is 45 spd 28 dam. This gives other classes something comparable.
The proc is 30 damage for my level 30 cleric. Since someone else lists it as 61 here does it vary by level? Yeah, not really a cleric weapon but I was just testing it and am going to throw it on my sk later.
The jerk that listed it at 61 was being a smartass and saying that the lvl that it proced at was 61. I feel sorry for his mother.
Easy killer.

i got this for a sarnak cerimonial dagger trade..i think i got the better end of the deal..hittign for 58 damage or so and it procs for me at 43..30dd is apparently what it does.
im a shaman so hitting that hard for me is awesome:)

yup, made a new shammy ogre and it procin at lvl 1 for 30 damage,poor little mobs arent sure what the hell is hittin them. this seems rare to me , my 44 nec has killed about solo killed about 150 of these giants around east waste zone line,and only got one of em,got about 6 drakkell ******* swords and 6 drakkell sledgehammers, no drakell reaver yet though, wish i could unload this thing for high price, kinda overkill on a youngster like my shammy, and my necro looks like a newbie in orobe, oh well i'll mayby try to get 2k, do you guys think that i will get it? ok thx
