This floor is CAKE...Me (54Mage) and a 56Mage cleared this floor w/ easily w/o having to recast pets. Pure cake...unfortunatly only a beer stained tunic dropped ;( oh well it was fun and we will be back

There is more to the ID message. the second part to the ID is "no time, no end, i vow to hold true"
so its "The eternal flame of love, knowing no time, no end, I vow to Hold true" One ID off the diamond wedding band.

The Rune Etched Wedding Band dropped of Daman for me. We took the entire floor with a single group, lvl 45-53. I switched this out with a 6ac/65hp ring for several reasons.
1. As a monk, my agility bonus gives me 5ac with this ring.
2. The AC Bonus/HP Bonus gives me around 35hp
3. Any STR bonus on an item is a PLUS for a monk
4. Poison and Disease resists are ALWAYS nice to have on hand.
5. This item cannot be crafted is and is pretty rare.. Above all it's prestige.
My last 2cp? This ring isn't worth the 3800pp Allakhazam says it is, but then again that figure is compiled from player entries. On Fennin Ro, these go for about 1-2K and are gobbled up like a starving man on a 7 course meal. It's worth it in my opinion.

OK seeing as how this game is a RPG (roleplaying game) I think that a monk or anyone of the priest subclass should EVER be wearing a "wedding band" seeing as how you are a priest and sworn to stay abstinent(sp?) well thats just my 2cp

MY shammie got hers when her"boyfriend" asked her to marry him in OOC on PoK and now it has become her wedding ring as well. So RPing does have it's advantages hehe.

I see your reasoning.. but even in real world situations that's not always true... which you shouldn't try to apply to eq anyway.
That said, RPing is nice.. but if you refuse to wear anything that says engagement ring or wedding ring on it, you're preventing yourself from using a lot of very nice gear. And are you going keep up the vow of poverty? How about the vow of silence? Should all monks refuse to talk and buy things? There is a line where taking RPing too far can impede your gaming experience. Of course if you find it fun to live as a pauper and have no possessions.. go for it.
oh ya.. and tunare followers are encouraged to get married and reproduce =) (read the books in felwithe)

But ... Monks do it better naked.
i would keep velium fire wedding rings for a few reasons.
1.AC and HP are more important than stats or saves unless on a raid
2. for monks it takes 4AGI to equal one whole AC
3. and in the end this ring would only be good on raids. and even then there are better rings for that.
sure this ring is still great but just not the best for monks. For a monk this would be just a nevelty item or something to Roleplay with not much more

Camped it for about 2 days in the tower with my group. But we had bad luck, no drops from Daman.

Sorry guys... I just can't see why this ring is worth this much. 7500pp? No way. If it had a little more ac, then perhaps I'd agree. No meleer I know would use this over 6ac 65hp ring. I just don't get it...
I had big troubles even when selling for 2k... noone wanted it :(

Picked one up on Drinl for a K and a minotaur ribcage, got some good use out of it, traded it in for a Velium fire wedding ring (6AC, 65HP). Spent the better part of a month in and out of Freeport trying to sell it for a K. No takers. Gave it to a level 7 cleric in Nektulos for 15pp, just to free up some bank room.
The extra AC on the velium fire ring makes a huge difference on getting hit, and that's job #1 for a Shadow Knight. More stats would be nice, but that's less essential than more AC.

Well it gives a nice melee set of stat impovements, some armour and some HP bonus AND some resist improvements - All in one handy package, which unfortunaetly is a rare or worse drop ( Killed about 30 Damans and Nosjas by now, trying to get any of the wedding bands. no luck so far on both... ) ? Well, I would say some k pp are definitely appropriate.
Some hard info, spawn time is about 15 minutes, and we had the "lace veil" drop on about every forth Daman we killed. Some recompense, but we want the rings.. :)
Then again, my appreciation of resist buffs may be overrated, as I play on VZ, not a blue server

well...with ac 2 and agi 6, it actually comes out only 1 or 2 ac worse than a ac6 ring. with 4 stamina and 15 hp, you get maybe 40 hp total. you also get a little more strength, nice poison and disease resists, and a neato graphic that makes the lowbies drool when you're inspected by every begging noob in freeport.
as a rogue, i couldn't care less about the few extra ac and hp from a 6ac/65hp ring...if it comes down to that, i'm dead anyway. this ring replaced my 6 str/6 dex ring, giving me a little bit of everything...defense, strength, and resists. purrrrrfect.
worth 7500pp though? nah.
