Ah be a 52 Paladin o Blessed Brell - Longshanks ain no damme 47 mob! Ah tried t'solo tha barstard an he done almost killed me. Ah got him down t'42% an had t'run. Ah was plum outa mana, my health was at 15%, LoH was down - Ah am not a stupid Paladin either. Ah got a damme decent weapon, real decent AC, HP, ATK fer me level. Ah rooted him, backed off an healed a spell an reentered combat also . . . He can take some sever damage an has great AC. Be careful if yer a straight meleer.

I went to hut pulled north to corner dotted no prob dropped the buckler and I didnt wanna wait for the other drop.. 51 Druid :) still dotted him like 12 times though
Between these 2 sheilds I now have the ability to have +10 resist in all 5 stats...just depends on what mob I am fighting as to which I wear. I use a CCS though for most work as I need the mana over the saves. This isnt as nice as the SBS but the svp and svd may be what you need. I carry around all 3 of these sheilds, weight isnt an issue with an ogre shaman :).

It was fairly easy to take out Longshanks, it was me, a 47 DE SK, and my friend a 50 shammy. He went down in a min or so. I am prolly gonna sell this to merchant for like 50pp its not worth much. As for Sk's not using shields.... i personally think the SK epic is quite weak. I currently use a shard of night, which is 21dmg 24dly 5str 5int 30mana 5svd 5svp, i hit hard, and fast. Now dont get me wrong the epic is nice, but its just not as great as some of the other stuff out there such as Soul Defiler that drops off Lord Yelinak

Was just in GD hunting named Tizzy for my husband's Cleric. (to get the velium mace)..and a high level Mage just happened to be killing Longshanks (sp?) He needed a little help, and wondered if anyone in the zone would root the mob for a bit. I offered my assistance but had 2 forces working against me. 1. I had no idea where in the zone he was. and 2. I doubted very much that a lvl 33 Cleric root spell would stick on such a high lvl mob. Anyway, the mage emerged victorious, and just because I was nice and made polite conversation gave it to me. I didn't have any idea what it was or if I could even use it. I'm probably just going to let my hubby give it to one of his alts..or someday soon pay it forward and hand it down to a new player as well. =)
Great nube shield (specially when fighting spiders, snakes, mummys and ghouls) got off of a friend for use with me MOSS while practicing 1H blunt. Have a runed frost blade as my primary, but one never knows when something nice will come one's way.

Shields like this are pretty much shaman only, shadoweknights should use 2handed weapons, rogues should use 2 one handed weapons, and a warrior might want to use this but I would prefer a second weapon or a big 2hs like executioner axe, other wise it is really only useful to shaman, or SK if they happen to be practicing their one handed skills, otherwise you are wasting valuable attacks.

I have a Sk that uses this and MoSS. This is nice shield for a Sk, and shaman. All Sk's don't use two handed weps...oh yeah in my opinion warriors and rogues are better off using two weps verus' two hand weps, unless the two hand weps are super drops (i.e. ToV weps, new Chardok weps) A nice wurmslayer or lammy with other good off hander would be much better then the old exe axe.

Found one of these for sale in Thurgadin for 600pp. Sold it later for 1k. This vendor must've been camping Gorul alot cause he has an unlimited supply of shields. Hehe. Made 3k in a day just by selling these.

Very nice newbie shield. I just bought one in EC for 80pp, I am stunned by some of the prices I see on here. Then again, I'd probably have to auction for 2 weeks before getting that price for it. Certainly a decent upgrade from a chitin shield for my lvl 12 barb shaman.

Umm noob shield, take a look at those resists, similar items with 1 or 2 more resists included sometimes sell for multiple k. Put that 1 in the bank and ride her out, you'll use it.

Sorry to bust the Paladin's bubble, but it is WAR SHD ROG SHM only, and large races only BAR TRL OGR. Get a Clay Guardians Shield instead AC 25 +50 HP.

I have got 2 of these shields now. Gave the first to a guildmate. It is a nice shield, but there are so many better alternatives. Not many people can use it, and those who do definatley shouldnt pay 3.5 k for one. I'm going to give this one away as well to a newbie to make his day. (=

Its a good shield, decent AC, decent resists overall..good for all you loving paladins.
So many shilds to buy and collect now w/ch one will i use, my immaculate shield or my rainbow hues or my bladestopper or my trueheart damn damn damn..couldnt life be much more simpler when i was just had an MM shield.

You certainly do! I am an Ogre Shadow Knight and use one ...somebody was selling it in the EC tunnel....I asked how much for and they told me to make an offer...I hadnt heard of it before so I offered 100pp...he laughed and said its true worth and promptly GAVE it to me...lol....It very nice but looks just like a normal small grey/yellow round shield.
