These are annoyingly rare (5 clears and 2 drops). The devs love to equate hard with wasting time...
However the price on Bertox is out of wack. They sell for between 250k and 1 million. Yet you can buy the full smithing seal for 800k.
Unfortunately the raid mobs like the princesses and the queen don't auto drop them

Rare as hell, about 75 ish mobs, 25 on ground floor and 50 ish upstairs.
Two days of clearing, cleared about 15 times so over 1100 mobs killed, looking at some of the others this was a good run!

What are these used for that they are so expensive? I understand rarity but what is the utility.

Pyrilen Flame for Bazu Breastplate of Flames for Smithing Supplies for The Artisan's Wares for The Artisan's Prize.
They are a rare drop and several are needed.
The reward is HUGE.

Farmed 18 hours broke up into 3 stints. got 12 drops.
Clearing every Pyrilen mob in the rift .. Eight hours and have three to show for it .. Number four is being a PITA ..
Did not count the mobs .. They on a 16 Min Respawn timer and I can clear with wiz in 10 min ..
Some guy has 22 of them in Baz selling fro 100K .. Makes me sad ..

He probably bought them from others and is reselling them, or found them while vendor diving.

After 2 days farming them I got 2 show for it there rare as hell....
These are selling for 150-200k on elles mar server. I can not get one to drop. They are one hit one kill for me so I kill them fast
Maybe I need a better attention span. I get bored in 2 hrs. Maybe they are just too Rare to farm!

I've played for about 5 to 8 hours in this zone for 4 nights now. Killing on average 30 mobs every 15 mins. So that's roughly 120 mobs per hour by say 5 hours... 600 mobs over 4 nights, 2400 mobs and had 1 drop...
Im unsure why these were dropping like every second mob prior to the new quest, but now they seem beyond rare... I love how the new owners of this game appear to be making it harder for people to find enjoyment... I hope the drop rates improve or there will be a complete cockblock in RS for months to come...

That new tradeskill quest has precipitated a holocaust amongst the flaming riftseekers. I had saved all of the flames I got grinding AA here back in the day (a grand total of 3 that I got over about 5000 AA on two different teams of toons), but I came out today to get the last one, and found the upper zone totally camped. Nothing but pyrilen corpses everywhere.
I don't know what the dev was thinking, but this zone is effectively ruined for the foreseeable future.

doesn't quite begin to describe this. 6 clears in RSS, 250 pyriliens. going to be a very long camp for 4 since I have not seen 1 yet.

Let us know when ya get one and what it dropped off of. I'll change that drop rate to rare.

up to 570 kills and have 2 of them. They are spread out, but I was not paying attention to the exact name of the mobs. just random Pyriliens in RSS. I know they didn't drop off names, it was just trash ( a_pyrilien_something)
Edit : up to 793 kills. and I now have 4 of them.

used to make bazu armor of flames, which is the "powered up" bazu armor/soft bazu armor. Kind of like how the magnetic armor has the better "charged" magnetic armor.

what that means is that if someone who doesn't KNOW that this item sells for in bazaar happens to sell it to a vendor, then the vendor sells it back at the 12.5 plat price

eq traders says this is sold from NPC's for 12p5g9s6c. im doing some research to see if I can find the vendor that sells because if this is true 25k is BS for this

It is sold from NPC's for around 12-13pp, but only IF someone sells it to them. I have found a few around and resold them in the bazaar for 12k each and always sold them within 10 min.
