Dropped over the weekend for my team from the Ward of Death, was looted by a happy SK alt. Item has no recommended level.

Its a new ring event started in the prison area. 2 Kitty's are held in 2 cages and if you speak with them they will tell you to clear the prison of all mobs, then by following the prompts you can start the ring, its quite tough and mobs hit for 500+ so be prepared. You need to approcah this as 2 Rings in one as both cages will have mobs spawning so split your forces. I won't give too much away.

as a necro i curently use the ceramic gavel of justice ae4 +10 str but its primary only, i want this to replace it so i can add a z-heart...

The Ceramic Gavel of Justice is Primary/Range. I'm not sure if it was always that way, but it's that way now.
if i could get one i'd take up ranger dotting again

And druids..
Nice item, no main caster stats BUT has good amount of mana, and the focus effect is rare enough that I'd replace better class rings for it.
(it would save a soloer lots of mana)

As a Shadow Knight I can say this would be an awesome upgrade for us. It's lower STA than what I'm currently using, but more HP's, I use alot of dot's, and the DEX would be nice with my Soul Abrasion 3 procs.
Anyone who casts dot's would benefit from this, I'd hate to be the one who had to award it with everyone who's going to want it.

Posted: May 05 2003 at 11:02 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Too bad at Level 60 U don't know that this focus effect does NOT work with Point blank spells! only those now what take over 30 seconds to CAST!!! So, getting items for "Procs" are useless... IE, this, and Extended affliction, Enhanced Damage etc... but hay, im sure there are plenty of idiots that will pay 30kpp plus for something that will have no benifit for them... like ua, the SK Neptunis.

Why is it that someone who has no life and knows the game inside and out does not post something more helpfull than opening their mouth and inserting FOOT.. into it and looking like a total moron cause he does not know how to read. The guy did not say anything about the EFFECT helping his proc he stated the DEX would help him proc better.
To bad though most people do not read the post but just babble off. Oh well I will turn off the rant now.

That is so true. Especially considering that Neptunis was responding to Kemna whos major drawback with this piece seemed to be the stats. Neptunis pointed out that the stats were not so bad. That seems pretty reasonable.
Then Dorkdruidd complains that Neptunis didn't say anything about the effect helping his proc. Um, yeah. Affliction Efficiency 4 doesn't affect anyone's proc. There isn't much point talking about it.

Actually its not 30 secs to cast, its DURATION. Meaning spells, especially DoTs, that last longer then 36 sec. So it would seem to me, if you proc a DoT that lasts over 36 sec. it might work. Not that it matters, since procs are manaless.

Actually, Affliction Efficiency only deals with duration spells at least 30 seconds in length that are damage-based, or have a DoT component. For example, necro/sk snares will be affected by this (because they contain a DoT component, in addition to the snare), whereas druid/ranger/wizard snares (no DoT) would not. It used to be that Affliction items affected all spells with a duration 36 seconds or greater. A few months ago, however, this was patched, and only DoT and spells that contain a DoT make use of this focus effect.

actually he said that the dex on this would be good to help his procs.
I agree this would be a nice ring for a druid. The AE4 and mana would definately help in soloing
