styre your wrong....time and GoD equipped rangers only use their bows to TS with most of the time...being an EP ranger i melee most of the time...even in raids and to the person who said rangers cant out melee DPS wars your ******* stupid. WARS are tanks not DPS. Also there are ways to make melee DPS close to if not equal to archery

Very Rare seems to be right, done this guy 11 times now and these have never shown up. THe stupid monk/bst legs have dropped like 4 or 5 times, the plate class veng 10 bp 3 times i think.

Just killed AHR for the 6/7th time with my guild about 1 hour ago. These dropped and i won (dkp) , Theyre about the 4/5th we have had drop from AHR.
Never had a chain BP or plate BP yet , and only 1 robe. This is her most common drop we have had yet , Unfortunate for others , fortunate for me :)

I am in a guild that has recently begun to raid VT. And if these dropped, then I would rejoice no matter who had the highest DKP, Ranger (like me) or Rogue.
The struggle to just get into this zone is a huge team effort. You won't be seeing this item by 2 boxing with 3 of your pals. You're going to need the whole hearted efforts of a lot of determined guildmates.
And if these drop, then I am going to be excited for the improved potential on any one of my mates that ends up sporting these lovely armgurads. It can only mean my team is gaining ground, and I will surely be a better ranger for it, even if I am not the one wearing them. The path to more adventures will surely require a lot of my guildmates getting upgrades and working out our tactics.

What a difference a year makes. I just got done with a raid to VT with a pickup 2 groups. Several people 2boxing. We wasted Aten easily (though it took like 15 minutes or so) and the funny thing is that these arms rotted since I was the only one who could use them and I have QVIC arms already.

All of ya who can't decide who has better DPS - do a pasre on SIMILARLY EQUIPPED rogues and rangers - remember those Stonewood bows and whatnot ARE elemental level - rogues don't get any droppable elemental toys.

Rogues are the dps in melee and if they are similarly geared they beat any other melee

We've done many Parces in my guild for DPS. I'm a ranger.. but sadly the rogues beat us out every time.
/agree rogues once they get elemental gears...out dps archer rangers and melee rangers...but parce a 2 million hit point raid fight and you'd be surprised how little difference there is

on the good side, attack is not capped, so a ranger with ven 10 extra will do more damage then one without, so what's your point favouring a rogue ?

worn attack cap is for both rogue and ranger though,my point is ,both ranger and rogue will have the same improvement with this armor .so this is not favoured to any of the classes

the ranger/rog arguement is a waste of time. the dps of either class can be higher than the other. like dude pointed out, though rangers have the best dps in the game (overall) they are useless against lots of high-end encounters where you have to wall hump the mob (example ... within VT itself and mobs like Avatar of War). rogs are excellent dps ALL the time. rangers are THE BEST dps SOME of the time .. and are DECENT dps the rest of the time.
you can't say 'uber loot "x"' should go to class 'y' once youre talking about things like this that come from zones like VT. vengence 10 would help either class immeasurably, and therefore shouldn't be denied to either. besides, guilds that raid here will either use a tiered point system or some wacky attendance system to determine who gets what.
they are insanely good arms. the only possible waste would be if they were shaman usable =p .. imho .. though i usually never say classes should be exempt ... vengence 10 is just too nice
*by the way this thread assumes that the rangers have decent dex and have endless quiver and archery mastery 3. if the ranger doesnt have this, then the dps of the rog will always be higher .. that is unless the rog isnt using any weapons :P

Not gonna argue anyones parses on dps, or comment on whose dps is better. Just to point out that, most likely since this was posted, the line of sight issues with archery were, for the most part, resolved.

Imo it really depends on the situation. Depending on the mob type and other factors, it can be anyone froma paladin to a magician.
I am a 65 Rog with wicked shank mainhand, ragebringer offhand and 1300 atk unbuffed. Generally I parse my dps at pretty close to that of rangers in my grps, but generally a small bit higher, less than 10% more. Now of course an elemental equipped ranger will smoke me, as a elemental rogue would smoke a ranger with sub elemental gear.
Anyway, in no way do I see how rangers can be defined as the best dps in the game, overall.
And about this item, its an awesome piece for anyone pre-time, ranger or rog. Save up those points )
Ummm.... For one Rangers will never do more melee damage then Rogue or Warrior, TS is not melee damage and its true they out damage any melee with a bow but how common is it for a ranger in a group to sit back and shoot his bow? Im tired of reading stupid crap.

second of all if I have a ranger in my group he better have AM3 or at least that and EQ, otherwise he can go join the other group pulling 1 every 5 minutes. The only way I would ever group with a ranger is for DPS and without AM3 and EQ with an 11 dmg arrow I'd rather get a mage or another enchanter with CoD.
so in closing, your a druid, your dumb for making one and you suck...especially if your a wood elf

"but rogues also deal a lot more damage then rangers" better check parsing bud. EQ/AM3 ranger is pretty close to rogue DPS and during TS rangers will do more DPS. The added dex helps with archery but these are equally good for both classes.

sure during ture shot they out dmg rogues... but when a rogue does duelist they out dmg rangers so it offsets. i currently have a 65 rogue and i out dmg most rangers also it is not always possible for a ranger to do bow dmg. if they cant hit with bow i really kick there *** in dmg. But there are also times where i cant BS then i really suck. so in the end there DPS is almost the same.
these arms are great for either class, we have 2 or 3 pair in guild now, and AM3 ranger with EQ will almost always out damage rogues with or with out TS disc, all my parses have concluded the same thing, rogues do hella good melee damage, but the speed thats rangers can shoot is faster than a rogue can backstab.
so before you flame me, I have played both lvl 65 rogue and ranger with vt gear and good weapons, and parsed both, ranger 95% of the time will out damage rogues unless the ranger has to use melee on walled mobs.

it's good for either class listed, sure 2 of the stats goto waste on a rogue, but rogues also deal a lot more damage then rangers. I would say the DPS rogues pump out would allow this item to goto either class regardless of the wis/mana
