These are no longer used in making cutural armor. :(
Been hunting these for over 2 weeks, and still no luck. Willing to pay 15k for 1 wooly rhino Horn on the Seventh hammer

I was hunting these tonight, not for the quest knife but because they are used in Human cultural DoN smithing. I killed about 30 rhinos and they dropped 6 horns, so about 1 in 5 average tonight, though that may be higher or lower than actual average.
In addition to the ones mentioned below, which are still there, I saw about a dozen or so spawns in the far north by the walrus / ulthork area, which has always had quite a few of them, but I don't recall quite that many from my last visit.
Of course they're perfect for a ranger to hunt. Snare, animal fear, beat on their back as they run. XP level ranger, I mean. Higher level farmers it really doesn't matter. Rangers that can still get XP off these will not have any archery AAs (or any AAs for that matter as they will be below level 50). So fear kite these so that your arrow bill doesn't drive you batty. ;)

I have Been Going to Eastern Waste for the past few nights trying to get Rhino horns and have not had much luck i have only tracked and killed about 10 thus far and only 2 drops this is starting to tick me off
the horns are parts of many combines and are required for armour for 2 races now since the release of TSS.I have also read on the Station web site many people are upset about the lack of rhinos in E.W. and the drop rate being so low and Sony has done nothing to fix this problem.
It is listed above as a common drop if this is common i would hate to see what a rare drop is like.
all in all i like the game and will continue to play i just had to write this post to vent my frustration.

Is there a place holder for these mobs, seems like there are 4 or less in Eastern Wastes and are not always up.
From my experience, there is not a placeholder for the Rhino. They will respawn after a while, but I have not timed it. You can find approximately 2 Rhinos S by SE of Garadain's camp, 4 a bit NW from Sleepers, and 2 more north of the Ry`Gorr fort.
As I said, I have not timed the respawn. It seems to be about 15-20mins? Possibly a variable timer on respawn. Average drops have been about 1 horn / 4 rhinos.

I have 4 of these already, got them all in about 3 hours of play on Maelin Starpyre.
guess I got lucky. 2nd kill and it droped a horn.

Horn dropped for me last night. Probably killed a dozen or more of them before it dropped. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but as said, it's not a common drop either.
Used in making a Coldain hunting Knife.

This is Not Common but quite rare, killed many many wooly Rhinos, none have droped so far..bah
