Killing any of the snakes (not just moss) near Neriak zone in will quickly give you the quest materials.

the only reason this quest is going is for the people that dont have any pp...but if the stuff that they work hard for is soooo awful to u ....give them some money and gear and im sure they wont bother hunting all that crap down and lvl.

why do people whine about items being awful/crappy...give it a rest. At lvl 1 your not going to get a shield with +20ac and bonus's across the board. For a lvl one with a rusted sword or other 1hs/b or whatever and a cloth tunic on your chest..ANY added ac is a plus..plus bashing if your class permits. So quite your crying about Verant giving awful items. You want any uber item go buy one. Remember this though..some of these folks that post an honest question or comment are new to the game, so they cant twink or buy those great items.

this quest is good and easy for lvl 1's. think about your necros that they pets carry shields and bash. Who cares if its LORE. Just do the quest again when you lose your pet. Think people and stop the crybaby crap. It may be crap to you TWINKed characters but for the rest of us who know how to use our imagination, this shield is good.

LMAO I needed a good laugh today. Gotta say thnx.
Umm have you ever done this quest? The price is waaay off, this shield is worth at LEAST 15000pp. It took over 30 level 55+ people to take down these moss snakes, and the skins and the teeth are 00ber rare drops. All i can say is good luck! Its definitely worth it!

I saw this shield on the shield list and it said "Neriak 3rd Gate" and obtainable at level 1, I wasnt thinking that it must be **** and to ignore it. I was thinkin "Hmm, ill try for that when i make my SK".

I never heard of a sheild being warn in the back slot.

lots of shields can be worn on the back....... its like u have it strapped for carrying ease:)
Not only that, but some weapons like the Iksar Warrior pikes can be worn on the back and increase AC.
If you were me and I were you, would we still be friends?
