How should you develop your necromancer to best take advantage of his abilities? What are the important faction considerations for a necromancer? Which spells work best, and which are not worth their price?

First off hello to anyone who reads this :)

I have a necromancer on the Bertoxxulous - Saryrn server ( im guessing its a merge or some kind now )
named Pren Shadowstealer. Im 56 and iv not loged in to the game for awhile. Last online Nov 16 05.

With EQ going F2P i thought id come back and take a peek before it gos F2P! Iv hit a wall .. all of my cds are long gone 8(

Dose sony offer the game to download for free?

Moving on here is a link to my Necromancer of Doom character sheet off the Sony.com website.

http://eqplayers.station.sony.com/character_profile.vm?characterId=554051002220

If people could give me feed back up bringing my Necro up to date that would be outstandingly helpful. ( also anyone that plays on the same server as myself Bertoxx - Saryrn and would not mind helping out with my 1.0 Epic quest give a shout. I think im half way done with it i know im past the herb i remeber that. )

Info on AAs to take would be nice and helpful aswell.

Thanks everyone who takes the time to read this and double thanks for the people that have some feed back for me :)

Have a great day.

Welcome back.

I use the old discs anytime I have to reinstall EQ on a computer for whatever reason, even after a launcher update as it automatically overwrites the old one.But as you have no choice atm I'll try my best.

Below is the link with the terms and limitations on F2P,Silver option $5.00/Mo and Gold(regular subscription) $15.00/mo:

http://everquest.station.sony.com/free/index.vm

For a reactivated character you would lose some inventory slots in its current state-Some issues such as losing items on old characters ie reduced inventory slots are still ambiguous and unresolved at this point. So you may want to consider resubbing at $15.00/mo until they improve the terms (there is some debate on EQPlayers Forums about this presently).

This is a digital download link for the latest patcher: http://launch.soe.com/everquest/

At 56 there are not too many "crucial" AAs that you need to purchase yet. If I had to do it again I would level to 65 and then concentrate on the core aas(maxing them out at that level and then gaining one level then max out those core aas if their was a new rank available etc). Runspeed aas, critical affliction, affliction mastery,"spell casting mastery" come to mind...By lvl 65 Gift of mana, Deathpiece aa,mneumonic retention...there are others.

When my necro was at 65 he was around 500 AAs till I levelled him further always stopping to make sure dot/dps aas as well as others were maxed at all times-even at the expense of defensive aas. This allowed him to maximise the speed at which I could gain experience by killing faster.I had taken the decision to max pet aas from around lvl 70ish but many necroes nowadays rather wait till later to concentrate on that.

This link from Necrotalk-class site (below)discusses the priority of AAs for necroes:

Good luck..
