Fear Kiting?

Okay so I am trying to fear my way up in LVL's and when I first learned to do this I was intructed to focus on lowering my Chrisma in order to make my fear spell stick longer, and right now it is at 25 and it doesn't seam to stick very long if it even takes hold. Anybody have advise on what I may be doing wrong?

Greetings Drunkin.

I believe you may have been given some inaccurate info.
Fear line of spells have no direct correlation to Chr.
There is still some debate about its correlation to Charm line etc.

You didnt list your level, so its kinda tricky to pinpoint a viable strategy for you, but I will try.

Fear Kiting from 4th level to about 45th is a very easy way to go.
But then, theres the switch.

Eventually, HPs of mobs makes fear kiting useless, as the pathing of the mobs will cause you to get adds, as well as, the obvious issue of many mobs at mid to higher levels being immune to fear.

You WILL need to learn agro kiting!

But for now, do this:
First off, always keep fd up, I have mine set in the second spell slot, just under life tap.
When pulling, try to keep pet a little distance away, set him to guard.
Pull w/ snare, run to pet.
Cast fear, if it fails, set pet to follow, run, and recast fear.
Your snare will allow you at least 4 attempts to fear or more per snare.
ALLWAYS bear in mind the timer on your snare.
Once the mob is snared, and feared, sick pet, and dot to high heaven.

This should help some.
But bear in mind, always consider learning more about agro kiting.
It will be your bread and butter.

Good luck!

First and foremost...the stratagey you posted here isnt agro kiting...its fear kiting.
To agro kite:
-Turn your pet taunt off (/pet no taunt)
-Find an area that you can run arround with the mob that you can pull the mob to with no adds from the zone, have pet guard here
-Grab a mob, you can pull with snare, but ive found a later levels i like to pull with scent spell line for less resists while kiting
-after you pull and snare, cast a high agro dot, either your debuff deasiese line (asytole/cessation) or your highest poision dot
-after you dot with your high agro dot, send in your pet, mob will be heavily hated on you, so now dot the mob as you run in your safe area in a circle keeping the mob behind you
-after youve dotted the mob to your liking just run in circles while your pet beats it down, refresh dots when you need to, and alway have FD memed if things go sour.

over all agro kiting is the best way to solo at your later lvls, at arround lvl 55 my favorite place to solo was Plane of Mischief, theres a great area to kite, and everything in the forest is a single pull. you can agro kite here till 58/59 and do AA's here for quite a while. Just remember you will have to refresh snare when kiting these mobs since they do have a lot of hp. Also, dont let them beat on you too much, they hit quite hard.
