what race is best besides dark elfs
I play a dark elf... however if you don't want to go with dark elf than I would say try and iskar for the regen..

I think that ilskars are the best race, hands down., i have tried an erudite necro and a ilskar necro, and the diffrence is incredible. While DEs and Erudites might have more int, the regen bonus that ilskars have is a must for the mana conversion spells, making the damage go almost unnoticed. so if you want my opinion, go with an ilskar.
race doesnt matter as far as how good of a necro you are (just faction), gear will eventually max out your stats. however if you train your points for a erudite they have the highest innate int so therefore will always be able to go that much higher then any other race in int, iksars have nice innate regen, and so on. so play whatever one you like the best, youll always be a skeleton tho lol from liching
Don't forget about the Demi Lich Skullcap. It's a lot easier to get as an iksar.
The only downside to being an iksar is the experience penality. It does hurt but I don't care, I'm in no rush to get anywhere and my lizard looks really nice in a white robe. :)

thank you all. i dieced to stick with my iksar. regen hand skull ca are good. plus he looks cool.
he is lvl 45 and lvling steadly with DODH MMs
I dont really see a lot of iksar necro but the 1 i see are lvl 70
