just responding to posts on the better bows..
I killed Vluudeen or whatever, named wurm in GD and turned in his tail to the NPC below the bridge to Tormax (something dragonhunter/slayer)
I was KOS so had to sneak to complete it..
reward is Bow of the Huntsman
20/30 rng180 effect spirit strike (80 cold dd)
the effect isnt impressive, but the speed is.
It shoots for about the same as my raincaller but somewhat faster. Of course using class 5+ silvertips makes this an expensive bow to shoot.
I use my raincaller for pulling, the 200 range just cant be beat for that. So far I have never been summoned for shooting a mob outside its casting range.
New additions to fletching has brought us nows with great dammage and speed. I would say that very few dropped bows or quested for that matter except raincaller and bow of the huntsman are worthy to best a hand made bow.

How and where do u get all the items to get to this bow?

are they drops? quest items? or are they something you forage?

This bow had better be uber, for just getting to all the isles, organizing the people to assist you, and the cost and time factors are HIGH. Imagine if after finishing this quest, you get this bogus bow (yikes). Good luck to anyone that gets it. I am trying, but the organization for this is a tremendous effort.

I read this bow is obtained throught the test of tactics quest. This sounds like the same quest. Does anyone know for sure?
