Crushed Coral comes from Sirens Grotto or Cobalt Scar. Both a MAJOR pain in the *** to get to and let alone squabble with guildmates who needs the same pieces. I would suggest this.
Do the Great Dragon head quest in Kael.
barbed dragonskin boots. 19 ac 9 sta 30 hps 2.5 WT (btw these are monk useable)
Own these boots hard and the effort to kill named dragons in western wastes is minimal and the loot for all your friends is fantasic.
Downside, barbed boots look like leather, but they rock.
So POG, Thurdagin,Skyshrine or these boots? Risk VS reward POG or these barbed boots are the way to go.

Interesting boots, I want a pair for my wood elf rogue) Kindly faction required, correct? And if you have <BELOW> at least 100 str, you are USELESS!! Str=higher damage backstabs. I've got a friggin' wood elf with base strength of 96, but with his armor etc on, he's got 124(about the same as a Vah Shir Rogue i saw with the same gear, which is kinda sad). heh, i can confirm there's no level limits for MQ...gotta be kindly though. Got these+gauntlets LOVE them.
Hmm, when your weakest rogue has a STR of around 90 unbuffed, this is nothing. Druids, with a usual STR of 70 have had to put up with super heavy quest armor since Fear was introduced. Vermiculated boots are 6 ac and 6.5 pounds. Velious Quest boots are just as bad at 8 ac and 6.0 pounds and that's supposed to be made of Leather.
Just be glad you don't have the crappy AC that the Druid quest armor from the same place has.
O yes. Very glad. And the total lack of spells on this item doesnt in any way detract from it when you are compairing it to vermiculated or Elder Spiritist armor.
Come on, Apples and Oranges here folks. Lets keep the comparisons at least mildly relevant.
Just for the record: Vermiculated Boots don't have a clickable effect. They do give +5 STR that offsets the weight somewhat. So the comparison isn't totally off.
Ok, make it apples and apples.... Plate boots weight a lot... These have better AC..
anyway if you don't have weight reducing bags/boxes by now(when you could actually get the boots) you are just plain dumb... put you extra gear and weapons in the bags..
